I graduated from the department of science education at Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey n 1998. I joined the School of Education as a research assistant in science education Studies in 2000, and completed the MEd in 2003. My PhD, completed in 2006, investigated the effect of computer animation on students’ understanding of electricity concepts. Now I have been teaching in Department of Computer Education & Instructional Technology at Dokuz Eylul University. I teach how can make computer animations and can use them in learning environment (science teaching) and also I teach on several Masters’ courses. I am currently Head of department of Computer & Instructional Technology at Dokuz Eylul University-Turkey. For the past three years I have been involved in a large national project (Educational software and metacognition prompts) funded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).
